Richmond’s Manchester neighborhood is currently the primary focus of Church Hill Ventures. So far, we have busy at work on various Manchester property acquisitions, rehabilitations, and new retail business development.

Our first set of mixed use buildings are currently under construction. We are committed to the area by investing directly in all of our commercial business tenants that are moving into our buildings in order to accelerate the rejuvenation of Manchester’s business district.

Coming to Manchester in the first quarter of 2018, Hot Diggity Donuts is a modern bakery and donut lounge serving up made to order craft donuts for indulgence anytime of the day. We savor the process of making things by hand and celebrate living in the moment. Swing by in the morning for a classic donut and pour over coffee or join us after work for our one of a kind happy hour experience featuring craft cocktails alongside specialty donuts. At Hot Diggity, you’re invited to treat yourself and your friends to a moment of pure delight and carefree fun.

Coming soon to Manchester, The Butterbean is a casual neighborhood market and cafe, and our first new business on the Hull Street corridor. Offering hand pulled espresso, craft beer, and kombucha alongside delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches made from scratch, The Butterbean welcomes you to stop by and hang out any time of day. The Butterbean also carries just the right amount of grocery staples to grab those last minute ingredients or a few items to take to a party.

Many of the historic buildings we are rehabilitating are multi-story. That means these buildings are ideal not only for 1st Floor Commercial spaces, but the upper floors are perfect for downtown apartment living in a walkable (and bike-able) neighborhood that has multiple access points to the James River. As a result, we have decided to list the various lofts, studios, and 1/2/3 Bedroom apartments that we will have available throughout Manchester on our new website: Dogtown Apartments.

In an attempt to help build the brand of the Manchester neighborhood and recognize the positive change that is occurring, we established The Dogtown Dish. As a community news source, the Dogtown Dish posts news stories that are relevant to Manchester and helps act as a source for information for both visitors and residents alike.
